Почему современная рок-критика не задается вопросом о будущем рока и андерграунда?
Ответ для меня очевиден: это происходит от того, что она инстинктивно боится думать об этом, так как всякое честное мышление на этот счет должно привести к единому и однозначному выводу: никаких логических и исторических оснований мыслить о будущем “контркультуры” (“андерграунда”) нет! Поэтому приходится корчить счастливую рожу, как бы не замечая, что дела идут плохо и шансов нет никаких, что дело мертвое, “тухлое”, и нужно его как можно скорее бросать, нужно “завязывать” с роком и искать новые горизонты. Но есть ли для этого запас нравственной и духовной энергетики, есть ли силы? Достаточно ли фантазии и творческой дерзости для того, чтобы порвать резко и окончательно, с “кровью и мясом”, с былыми кумирами и идти иным путем и к иным берегам?!

For me the answer is obvious: it comes from the fact that the critics was instinctively afraid to think about it, since every honest thinking in this regard should lead to the only unequivocal conclusion: no logical and historical grounds for thinking about the future of “counterculture” (“Underground”) No! So you have to writhe a happy face, as if unaware that things were going badly and there is no chance that the deal is dead, “rotten”, and want to leave as soon as possible, you need to “tie” with the rock and look for new horizons. But is there for this stock of moral and spiritual power, there is strength? Enough imagination and creative audacity to break sharply and finally, with “blood and flesh, withh idols and go another way and to other banks?
